The administrative post office migration is at about 48% copied.
Oxford post office (faculty) migrated successfully. However, due to time constraints we are unable to do the clinton post office (admin) migration at this time. Change control will reschedule.
Faculty post office is completed and up and running. Queued mail is now processing.
The migration for the faculty email server is still running. It is approximately 95% done.
The migration is about 50% this morning
The faculty email server is now down and the migration has been started.
Dear Faculty, Administrators, and Staff,
We need to do work on the e-mail systems this coming weekend, as required by our vendor. After doing the student e-mail systems last week, we see that it will take approximately 24 hours each for the academic department post office and the administrative department post office. The following is the schedule:
Academic departments post office: 6 p.m. Friday, July 16 through 6 p.m. Saturday, July 17.
Administrative departments post office: Immediately after the academic p.o. move completes, no earlier than 2 p.m. on Saturday and possibly as late at 6 p.m. Saturday, continuing for the next 24 hours.
In preparation, there will be a brief restart of the e-mail system tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6:00 a.m..
Further, there will be some additional work done on Saturday afternoon which will briefly interrupt printing, Internet e-mail going in/out, and other systems.
I realize 24 hours is a long time to be without e-mail, but hopefully this doesn’t present too much inconvenience at this time of the year.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
take care.
