The time has come again to perform the annual computer network registration. Tomorrow morning, July 24, we are activating Netreg at 9:00 AM. Netreg is a service to help increase the security of the Holy Cross network. We have been using this service for a number of years. After Netreg is activated, when you first try to navigate anywhere on the internet (other than a Holy Cross site), the registration page will appear. You should enter your username and password on this page. Make certain to accept the computer usage policy. If you are registering a Holy Cross system, then you do not need to install a virus program as the page will suggest (all Holy Cross owned computers already have virus protection on them). You will only have to register your computer one time this year. After you register, you will need to reboot.If you are having issues getting onto the internet tomorrow after 9:00 A.M., you should call the Help Desk at X 3548.
